This website
This section covers opsecintel.com, our public marketing website. It is a static site, built to collect as little as possible.
What we collect. As you browse, the only information we gather is an anonymous, aggregate count of visitors and general traffic, measured through a privacy-preserving analytics tool. It does not set advertising or tracking cookies, does not follow you across other websites, and does not collect or store personal information about you. We do not build profiles of visitors, we do not track individuals, and we do not use the website for advertising.
If you contact us. If you submit our assessment or contact form, or email us directly, we receive only the information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, and message. Form submissions are delivered to us by email through our processor, Resend, and are protected from spam and abuse by Cloudflare Turnstile. We use what you send only to respond to your inquiry.
We do not sell, share, or resell. We do not sell, rent, share, or resell any information collected through this website, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
The remainder of this Policy describes OpSec Verify, our identity and biometric verification Service. That is a separate, login-gated product that necessarily collects more information in order to verify identity and prevent fraud. If you are only browsing this website, that part does not apply to you.

Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 1, 2026
This Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes how OpSec Intel ("OpSec," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information in connection with the identity and biometric verification services we provide, including any related websites, portals, applications, and features we make available (collectively, the "Service"). This Policy applies to the Service accessible at https://opsecintel.com/privacy and to information we handle in the course of operating the Service.
We provide an identity verification and fraud-prevention Service used in the freight and logistics industry. Our business clients (such as freight brokers, carriers, and similar organizations) use the Service to confirm the identity of individuals, such as truck drivers, in connection with pickups, deliveries, facility access, and related check-in activities. To do this, the Service collects and processes certain personal information, which may include images of government-issued identification and the information contained on it, biometric identifiers and biometric information (including facial images and facial-geometry data, sometimes referred to as "faceprints") used to confirm that a person matches their identification, contact information such as a mobile phone number, device and technical signals, precise geolocation information, and related verification and network-reputation information obtained from third-party service providers. The result of a verification may be recorded in a report that can be retained and used for the purposes described in this Policy, including as evidence in disputes or legal proceedings. We describe these activities more fully in the other sections of this Policy.
Scope and acceptance
This Policy applies to all individuals whose information is processed through the Service. This includes:
- Individuals who are verified through the Service (for example, drivers who complete a check-in, whether in person or remotely, and who photograph their government-issued identification, provide a facial image, and give consent); and
- Authorized users of our login-gated portals, including personnel of our business clients and our own staff who access the Service.
We provide the Service to and on behalf of our business clients. In many cases, a business client engages us to perform verification in connection with that client's own operations. For much of the personal information processed through the Service, the business client that requested the verification acts as the controlling party (referred to under some laws as the "business"), and we act as its service provider or processor under a written contract that limits our use of the information to performing the Service and prohibits us from using it for any unrelated purpose. That business client may have its own privacy practices that govern its separate relationship with you. This Policy addresses our own handling of personal information in connection with the Service and does not describe the independent practices of any business client or other third party.
By accessing or using the Service, by completing or continuing a verification, or by otherwise providing information to us through the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy and the practices it describes. Where separate consent is required, including for the collection of biometric identifiers and biometric information or for the receipt of text messages, we obtain that consent as described in this Policy and in the applicable notices presented to you at the time of collection. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the Service.
This Policy applies to individuals and business users in the United States, across all fifty states. Additional disclosures that apply to residents of certain states, including biometric-privacy and consumer-privacy disclosures, are provided in the corresponding sections of this Policy and apply as required by applicable law.
Information we collect and how
We collect personal information to provide and operate the Service. The categories below are described broadly; the specific data elements within each category may vary depending on how a verification is initiated and completed. Some of the information we collect is considered "sensitive personal information" (or "sensitive information") under certain state privacy laws, as noted below.
Categories of personal information we collect
- Identity and identification-document information. Images of your government-issued identification document (which may include the front and back) and the information printed or encoded on it, including representative details such as your name, date of birth, driver's-license or identification number, address, and document expiration and issuance information. Some of this information, such as a driver's-license or identification number, is treated as sensitive personal information under applicable law.
- Biometric information. A facial image (such as a photograph you take during check-in) and facial-geometry data or "faceprints" derived from that image and from the photograph on your identification document. We collect and use this biometric information for the specific purpose of verifying identity and preventing fraud, including confirming that your facial image matches the photograph on an identification document. Biometric information is treated as sensitive personal information under applicable law. Additional biometric disclosures, including consent, retention, and destruction, are provided in the "Biometric information" section below.
- Contact and phone information. Your mobile telephone number and related contact details, which may be used to deliver a check-in link and related check-in notices by text message and to communicate with you about a verification.
- Device and technical information. Information collected automatically from the device you use to complete a verification, including representative signals such as your IP address and device and browser characteristics.
- Precise geolocation information. Precise location information captured at the time of check-in. Precise geolocation is treated as sensitive personal information under applicable law, and we collect it only with the permission you grant through your device or browser at the time of check-in.
- Phone-carrier and network-reputation intelligence. Information about your telephone number and network obtained from third-party service providers, including representative signals used to assess carrier, line, and network reputation for identity-verification and fraud-prevention purposes.
- Consent and interaction records. Records of the consent you provide and of your interactions with the verification process, including representative information such as the date and time of check-in, the method of check-in, and the outcome of a verification. A verification may produce a report that we retain and that may be used as evidence in a dispute or legal proceeding as described in this Policy.
Sources of personal information
We collect personal information from the following sources:
- Directly from you. The information you provide when you complete a check-in, including the images of your identification document, your facial image, your consent, and any information you submit as part of the verification process.
- Automatically from your device. Technical signals collected automatically from your device and browser when you access the verification process, and precise geolocation collected with the permission you grant at check-in, as described above.
- From third-party service providers. Information obtained from third-party service providers that support identity verification and fraud prevention, including phone-carrier and network-reputation intelligence associated with your telephone number.
We collect only the categories of personal information reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy.
Retention criteria by category
We retain each category of personal information described above for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, and we determine the applicable retention period for each category using criteria that include: the length of time needed to provide the Service and complete the verification for which the information was collected; the need to retain a verification report as a record or as evidence in connection with disputes, claims, investigations, or legal or regulatory proceedings; our need to detect, investigate, and prevent fraud and security incidents; and any legal, regulatory, or contractual obligation that requires retention for a particular period. Biometric identifiers and biometric information are retained and destroyed as described in the "Biometric information" section below. We periodically review the personal information we hold and delete, de-identify, or otherwise dispose of information that is no longer needed under these criteria.
How we use information
We use the personal information we collect, including government-ID information, biometric identifiers and biometric information, your mobile phone number, device and technical signals, precise geolocation, and phone-carrier and network-reputation information obtained from third-party service providers, for the following purposes:
- Verify identity. To confirm that a person presenting for check-in is who they claim to be, including by comparing a facial image to the photograph on the government-issued identification. Biometric identifiers and biometric information, including facial geometry, are collected and used for the specific purpose of identity verification and fraud prevention, and only after consent is obtained before collection.
- Detect and prevent fraud and impersonation. To identify, investigate, and help prevent fraudulent, deceptive, or unauthorized activity, including document tampering, identity theft, spoofing, and impersonation attempts.
- Complete check-ins requested by a business client. To perform the check-in that a business client (such as a freight broker or carrier) has requested, and to communicate the results of that check-in to the requesting business client for its own verification and record-keeping purposes.
- Produce a verification report. To generate a report reflecting the outcome of a verification, which may be retained and made available to the requesting business client and used for the purposes described in this section.
- Maintain security and integrity. To operate, secure, monitor, and maintain the integrity of the Service and login-gated portals, to authenticate authorized users, to debug and troubleshoot, and to protect against misuse, unauthorized access, and other threats to the safety, security, and reliability of the Service.
- Comply with law. To comply with applicable legal, regulatory, and industry obligations, to respond to lawful requests and legal process, and to enforce our terms and policies.
- Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. To establish, exercise, or defend legal or equitable claims, including to preserve, produce, and rely on verification information and reports as evidence in disputes, investigations, audits, or legal or administrative proceedings.
We use sensitive personal information only for the purposes described above, which are the purposes of providing the Service, verifying identity, and preventing fraud, and for other purposes permitted by applicable law that do not require the option to limit such use. We do not use the personal information described here for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use it to infer characteristics about you for any purpose unrelated to identity verification and fraud prevention.
Biometric information
This section describes how we collect, use, store, and destroy biometric identifiers and biometric information in connection with the Service. It applies in addition to the other sections of this Policy.
Notice and what we collect. As part of the verification process, we collect and process biometric identifiers and biometric information, including facial images and facial geometry (sometimes called a "faceprint") derived from the facial image you provide and from the photograph on your government-issued identification document. We use this information to generate the facial-geometry data needed to confirm that your facial image matches your identification photo.
Purpose. We collect and use this biometric information for a single, limited purpose: to verify your identity and to detect and prevent identity fraud in connection with freight and logistics check-in. We do not use biometric identifiers or biometric information for any purpose other than the identity-verification and fraud-prevention purposes described in this Policy, except as permitted or required by applicable law.
Written consent and release before collection. We obtain your written consent before we collect or capture your biometric identifiers or biometric information, whether you complete a check-in in person or remotely. Before collection, you are informed that biometric data is being collected and stored, the specific purpose for which it is being collected, and the general length of time (or the criteria used to determine the length of time) for which it will be stored and used. By providing this consent, you also authorize our collection, storage, and use of your biometric data and the limited disclosures of it described in this Policy, including disclosures to the third-party service providers that help us perform the verification and disclosures required by applicable law or valid legal process. We obtain and retain a record of your consent. Collection does not occur until consent is given.
No sale, lease, trade, or profit. We do not sell, lease, trade, or otherwise profit from your biometric identifiers or biometric information. We do not disclose, redisclose, or otherwise disseminate your biometric data except as necessary to provide the verification service, as you have consented, to comply with applicable law or valid legal process, or as otherwise permitted by applicable law, and in each case consistent with the purposes described in this Policy.
Retention and destruction. We store, use, and destroy biometric data in accordance with a written retention-and-destruction schedule and guidelines. Under that schedule, biometric identifiers and biometric information are permanently destroyed when the initial purpose for collecting or obtaining the data has been satisfied, or within the period required by applicable law, whichever occurs first, except that where we are required or permitted to retain certain records for legal, evidentiary, or fraud-prevention purposes (for example, a verification report that may be used as evidence in a dispute or legal proceeding), we retain only what is reasonably necessary for those purposes and destroy the biometric data in accordance with this schedule and applicable law once those purposes have concluded.
Your choices. If you have questions about our collection and use of biometric information, or if you wish to make a request regarding your biometric data, you may contact us at [email protected]. We describe how to submit access and deletion requests, and any applicable limitations, in the "Your rights, choices, and how to delete your data" section below.
Text messages (SMS)
We offer a remote check-in option in which a driver receives a link to complete identity verification by text message. Text messages are delivered through a third-party messaging service provider on our behalf.
Message program and sender. Text messages you receive relate to the OpSec Verify check-in program. The terms that govern these messages are described in this section, and this Privacy Policy is available at https://opsecintel.com/privacy.
Consent to receive text messages. By providing a mobile phone number and choosing to proceed with a text-based (remote) check-in, or by otherwise opting in, you consent to receive transactional text messages from us or on our behalf at that number. These messages relate to the check-in and identity-verification process, and may include the check-in link and related check-in notices. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages through this program.
Message frequency. Message frequency varies and depends on how you interact with the check-in process.
Message and data rates. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan. You are responsible for any such charges.
How to opt out. You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. After you reply STOP, you may receive a message confirming your opt-out, and we will stop sending you text messages through this program. Opting out of text messages may prevent you from completing a remote check-in, in which case another method of completing check-in may be required.
How to get help. For help, reply HELP to any message you receive from us, or contact us using the information provided in this Policy.
No sharing of mobile opt-in data for marketing. We do not share or sell your mobile phone number, text-messaging opt-in, or consent information with or to third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes. Information related to your mobile opt-in and consent is used only to deliver and support the check-in and identity-verification service described in this Policy, and is disclosed only to the third-party service providers that help us deliver these messages, or as otherwise required by law.
How we disclose information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under applicable law. In this Policy, "share" refers to that specific cross-context behavioral advertising meaning; where we describe making information available to a business client or a service provider below, that is a disclosure for the operational purposes described, not a "sale" or "share." Your mobile opt-in and text-messaging consent information is not shared with, or sold to, third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes.
We disclose personal information only in the limited categories described below, and only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy or as required by applicable law.
To the business client who requested the verification. When a driver completes a verification, we make the resulting verification information and report available to the business client (for example, the freight broker or carrier) that requested or initiated that check-in. That business client uses the information for its own identity-verification, fraud-prevention, and record-keeping purposes, including as evidence in the event of a dispute.
To our third-party service providers. We disclose personal information to third-party service providers who process it on our behalf to help us operate, provide, secure, and improve the Service. This includes providers that support functions such as hosting and storage, communications and message delivery, identity and network-reputation verification, and similar operational needs. These providers are permitted to process personal information only to perform services for us under a written contract, are bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations, and are not authorized to use personal information for their own purposes. Biometric information is disclosed to such providers only as needed to perform the identity-verification and fraud-prevention purposes described in this Policy.
To law enforcement, courts, and others for legal reasons. We may disclose personal information where we believe in good faith that doing so is necessary or appropriate to comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, subpoena, or governmental or law-enforcement request; to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims, including the evidentiary use of a verification record in a dispute or legal proceeding; to enforce our terms and policies; or to protect the rights, property, safety, or security of our clients, drivers, the public, or us, including to detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues.
In connection with a business transfer. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or other business transaction, personal information may be transferred or disclosed as part of that transaction or the diligence for it, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections. Any successor entity that receives personal information in such a transaction will be bound by commitments materially consistent with this Policy or will provide notice as required by applicable law.
Except as described above, we do not disclose your personal information to third parties for their own independent use.
Data retention and security
Data retention
We retain personal information, including government-ID information, biometric identifiers and biometric information, contact information, device and technical signals, and verification reports, for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy or as otherwise required or permitted by applicable law. The criteria we use to determine retention periods for each category are described in the "Retention criteria by category" section above. When information is no longer needed for those purposes, we take steps to delete, de-identify, or otherwise dispose of it in accordance with our internal retention practices and applicable law, and we periodically review the information we hold and dispose of information no longer needed.
Because the Service is used for identity verification and fraud prevention, a completed verification may produce a report that we retain and may use as evidence in connection with disputes, chargebacks, claims, investigations, audits, or legal or regulatory proceedings. We may retain certain information where we reasonably believe it is necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims; to comply with a legal, regulatory, contractual, or evidentiary obligation; to detect, investigate, or prevent fraud, security incidents, or other unlawful or prohibited activity; or where a legal hold or similar preservation requirement applies. In those cases we retain only the information reasonably necessary for that purpose and for as long as that purpose or obligation continues to apply, after which the information is disposed of in accordance with our retention practices and applicable law.
Biometric identifiers and biometric information, including facial geometry, are subject to the retention-and-destruction schedule described in the "Biometric information" section above and are permanently destroyed when the initial purpose for collecting them has been satisfied or within the period required by applicable law, whichever occurs first, subject only to any legal, evidentiary, or fraud-prevention hold described in that section.
Security
We maintain reasonable, industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, loss, or destruction. These safeguards are intended to be appropriate to the nature and sensitivity of the information we handle, which includes government-ID information and biometric data, and we review them from time to time as the Service and applicable standards evolve.
Sensitive information is protected using measures that generally include access controls that limit access to authorized personnel and service providers on a need-to-know basis, and other organizational and technical measures designed to preserve the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the information.
In the event of a security incident affecting personal information, we will notify affected individuals, our business clients, and regulators or other authorities to the extent and in the manner required by applicable law.
No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. While we work to protect your personal information, you provide it to us at your own risk, and we cannot warrant the security of any information you transmit to us or that we store on your behalf. If you have reason to believe that your interaction with us is no longer secure, please contact us at [email protected].
Your rights, choices, and how to delete your data
We respect your right to understand and control the personal information we hold about you. Depending on where you live and subject to applicable law, you may have some or all of the rights described below. We honor these rights to the extent, and for the individuals, required by applicable law.
Your rights
- Right to know and access. You may request confirmation of whether we process personal information about you, and request access to the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, the categories of sources, the purposes for collecting it, and the categories of third-party service providers to whom we disclose it. As described below, for security reasons certain sensitive identifiers may be provided in a limited or masked form rather than re-disclosed in full.
- Right to delete. You may request that we delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions described below.
- Right to correct. You may request that we correct inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
- Right to opt out of sale or sharing. You may direct us not to "sell" or "share" (for cross-context behavioral advertising) your personal information. As explained below, we do not sell or share your personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of, but you may still submit a request.
- Right to limit the use of sensitive personal information. To the extent this right applies, you may request that we limit our use and disclosure of sensitive personal information to those uses permitted by applicable law. We already use sensitive personal information (such as government-ID information, biometric information, and precise geolocation) only to provide the Service, verify identity, prevent fraud, and for other purposes permitted by applicable law, and not for any purpose that would require us to offer this option, such as inferring characteristics about you or cross-context behavioral advertising.
- Right to non-discrimination. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights. We will not deny you services, charge you a different price, or provide you a different level or quality of service because you exercised your rights.
We do not sell or share your personal information
We do not sell, rent, lease, or trade your personal information, and we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under applicable law. We do not profit from your biometric identifiers or biometric information. We disclose personal information only to third-party service providers who help us provide and operate the Service, and to a requesting business client, in each case only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy or as required by law.
Because we do not sell or share personal information, we do not need to act on browser-based opt-out preference signals (such as the Global Privacy Control) to stop selling or sharing your information. Where applicable law requires us to treat such a signal as a valid request, we honor it consistent with that law.
How to submit a request
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. Please tell us which right you wish to exercise and provide enough information for us to locate the relevant records and respond. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
To protect your information and prevent unauthorized access, we will take steps to verify your identity before acting on a request. Because the Service handles government-ID images and biometric data, we apply a heightened standard of verification for requests to access or delete those categories, and we generally require verification from the individual who is the subject of the information. This may include asking you to confirm information we already maintain about you, or to provide additional information reasonably necessary to confirm that you are the person about whom we collected personal information. We will not use information you provide for verification for any purpose other than verifying and responding to your request. If we cannot verify your identity to the standard required by applicable law, we may be unable to honor the request.
You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf, where permitted by applicable law. We may require the agent to provide proof of authorization and may still require you to verify your identity directly, particularly for requests involving government-ID images or biometric data.
Requests involving a business client
Where a driver was verified in connection with a business client's use of the Service (for example, a freight broker or carrier that requested the check-in), that business client may submit certain requests relating to its own records. However, for requests to access or delete a driver's government-ID images or biometric data, we generally require verification from the driver who is the subject of that information, and a business client's attestation alone is not sufficient to authorize the release or deletion of those categories.
How access applies to biometric and identification data
Where you exercise the right to access specific pieces of personal information, we may, for security and fraud-prevention reasons and consistent with applicable law, provide certain highly sensitive identifiers (such as a full driver's-license or identification number, government-ID images, or biometric identifiers and faceprints) in a summarized, masked, or otherwise limited form rather than re-disclosing them in full. We will tell you the categories of such information we hold about you and provide access consistent with what applicable law requires and permits.
How to request deletion of your data
To ask us to delete your personal information, including government-ID images, biometric identifiers and biometric information (such as facial images and facial geometry), your phone number, and associated verification records, contact us at [email protected] and let us know you are requesting deletion. After we verify your identity (or the authority of an authorized agent), we will delete the personal information we are able to delete and direct our third-party service providers to do the same, except where an exception applies.
Please note that certain information may be retained where retention is required or permitted by applicable law, or where it is reasonably necessary for legal, evidentiary, dispute-resolution, security, or fraud-prevention purposes, including retaining a verification report as evidence in a dispute or legal proceeding. Where we retain such information, we retain only what is reasonably necessary for those purposes and for as long as reasonably necessary or as required by law, after which it is destroyed. Biometric information is retained and destroyed in accordance with the retention-and-destruction practices described in the "Biometric information" section above.
Additional information
Not directed to children
The Service is intended for use by adults only. It is designed for identity verification of commercial drivers, and users must be of legal driving age and otherwise of legal age to enter into agreements in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 years of age, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of minors. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from an individual who does not meet these requirements, please contact us using the information below so that we can take appropriate action.
Automatic technologies and cookies
We use a limited set of automatic technologies, such as cookies and similar mechanisms, only as reasonably necessary to operate the Service, enable core functionality, maintain sessions, and support security and fraud prevention. We do not use these technologies for cross-context behavioral advertising. You may be able to control certain automatic technologies through your browser or device settings, though disabling them may affect the availability or performance of parts of the Service. As noted above, because we do not sell or share personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising, browser-based opt-out preference signals such as the Global Privacy Control do not require any additional action, though we honor them where applicable law so requires.
Data processed in the United States
The Service is operated from, and the information described in this Policy is processed and stored in, the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to, processed, and stored in the United States, where privacy and data protection laws may differ from those of your location.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, or legal requirements. When we do, we will post the revised Policy with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the Service after the revised Policy is posted constitutes your acceptance of the changes. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.
